Feature Projects
stonks
A stock tracker web-app
stonks was one of my first projects, i started to self-teach me coding in 2021 and was looking for ideas that motivate me. At the time i was interested in the stock market and so i wanted to design an app that gave me a wide variety of insights into a specific stock. Hindsight: what a mess, but it worked, i learnt a lot and it was fun.

APIs are currently not kept up-to-date.
Technologies & Platforms used:
kauf
A shopping-list web-app
kauf is a project in Flutter and Dart, that i am currently working on. My goal is to develop a shopping list which fulfills my demands, looks nice, is easy to use and can be shared with others.
I created a working frontend, that now needs to be connected with a backend.

Technologies & Platforms used:
Joniland
A short text-adventure
Joniland was created for a university project, where we learned the basics of Java. At the time i became a godfather and so I decided to dedicate this game to my grandchild. It was really fun to envision the experiences of a baby and to implement them as a text-adventure.
Technologies & Platforms used:
Skills
HTML & CSS
I have built multiple small websites on my own, I am able to utilise frameworks like bootstrap to simplify/speed up the development of responsive, user centric and visually appealing websites
Javascript
I have built various functions to interact with websites and backends, e.g. implementing dark mode functionality using jQuery or making API-calls to a backend and implementing the data into the website
Java
I have built multiple small- to medium-sized apps, like a Pong game and a Text adventure utilising tools like Processing, Maven and Springboot
Python
I created python backends for small web-apps with Flask and Django, managing data and/or making api-calls to external services, e.g. a shopping list app or stock exchange checker
Dart & Flutter
I can utilise my basic language and Flutter framework knowledge to bugfix app code and implement new functionalities on a small scale
About me
33 years old,

with
over four years of job experience
as an
Online-Marketeer

Product Owner.
and now i am becoming a developer!
So how did i get here?
Working in the telecommunications sector, i experienced innovative environments and a push for more and more digitalisation in the workplace as well as in products. While developing optimized websites, customer-oriented products and barrier-breaking apps from a business perspective, i really enjoyed working with developers and designers, who always were at the core of success - and with that, a dream grew inside me: i want to design, create and realise ideas myself - ideas that may change and improve the world.
Since 2021, i pursue this dream to make it reality. Having started with self-taught courses online, like the excellent HarvardX's Introduction to Computer Science and Web Programming, i decided to take it a step further and go back to university to enroll in the B.Sc. in Code & Context at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. This gives me the chance to broaden my experience and strengthen my knowledge on designing great digital products.
